The Indigenous Studies in Kinesiology program was co-created with Indigenous scholars, community leaders, and Elders to enhance the teaching, research, and learning within the Faculty of Education, the School of Kinesiology, and the University of British Columbia. Our ultimate goal is to introduce students, faculty, and staff to Indigenous understandings of health and wellbeing providing comprehensive insight into the complex social, cultural, historical, and economic factors that shape healthy living within Indigenous communities.
